Congratulations to our entire team of amazing people who worked together to achieve this incredible and prestigious award!
Saturday evening saw representatives from across the State attend the Gymnastics Queensland Annual Awards night in Brisbane. Vying it out with the best clubs in Queensland for Club and individual awards, a group of our amazing Delta coaches, team leaders, gymnasts and parents from Delta Brisbane, Delta Gold Coast and Barron Valley Gymnastics came together to celebrate a wonderful year of gymnastics in Queensland!
Delta came away from the evening with a number of incredible awards, culminating in the overall Club of the Year honour. Special mention to Level 9 Delta Brisbane gymnast Samantha Watkin who won the WAG National Levels Gymnast of the Year for 2016! Long-time coaching partners Wendy Gilliver and John Mitchell again took home the WAG National Levels Coaching Team of the year and recently retired Barron Valley Level 10 gymnast, Leah Everist was awarded the coveted Frank Vig award, honouring an individual who, through their sporting achievements and person qualities, acts as a fine role model for Queensland gymnastics! Congratulations Sam, Wendy, John and Leah on such wonderful achievements!
