That's a wrap on the 2018 Junior State Gymnastics Championships.  Over the last 4 days, gymnasts from across Queensland have headed to Brisbane to compete against the best in the state for the State Champion Title. This year, Delta Brisbane, Southport Gymnastics Club and Barron Valley Gymnastics Club had 124 girls and boys competing at the 4-day event. While Junior State Championships is the final individual competition for the year for our level 3-6 gymnasts, it is always wonderful to see the teamwork and support on display on the competition floor.  We love having our Barron Valley friends in town and the chance for our Brisbane, Southport and Cairns gymnasts to catch up and support each other on the competition floor! Our level 4-6 WAG and 3-5 MAG gymnasts have been training so hard in the lead up to this event.  We are so proud of all of the kids who competed.  We hope the gymnasts all enjoyed performing and learnt something from competing at a State level.  For a young group of competitors, the confidence and teamwork displayed was fantastic! Thanks as always to our amazing coaches and to the parents who do so much to allow our Aspire gymnasts to get out there and do what they love! Level 4

Congratulations to our awesome Level 4 gymnasts!  We loved seeing those cheeky smiles on the competition floor and hope you had a lot of fun performing!  For most of our Level 4's this was their very first State Titles and the Level 4 Under 9 competition saw some of our youngest athletes performing.  Congratulations girls, we loved seeing your smiling faces and confident performances!  All of the girls have done themselves proud - what a great result! Level 5

Our level 5 gymnasts performed beautifully on the competition floor, remaining cool, calm and collected throughout the event.  We're so proud of the girls efforts!  Big shout out to our under 10's who got the clean sweep winning gold, silver and bronze in the all around competition!  With a sea of Delta Brisbane, Southport and BV leotards on the floor, it was so great to see our teams having fun and showing the rest of the state what they're made of! Level 6

The level 6 competition saw some incredible gymnastics on display.  Our gymnasts had confident, hit routines and showed what our teams are really made of! The level 6 Open competition was especially exciting for our Delta family with gymnasts from Delta Brisbane, Southport Gymnastics Club and Barron Valley Gymnastics Club taking home Gold, Silver and Bronze in the all around event.  Congratulations Bronte, Kate and Tali! Yeah the Boys!

This year three Barron Valley boys in levels 3-5 headed to Brisbane for the Junior State Titles event.  The boys have been working so hard and coming off a great result at the FNQ Regionals, were certainly ready to rock it!  Congratulations boys on a great event!  We're so proud of you all. Level 3  Great job Elijah Williams!  We hope you enjoyed your first State Titles in the Level 3 Under 9 division!  Special shout out for your awesome 9.475 vault! Level 4 Congratulations Clarke Walters on picking up four medals in the Level 4 Open division on the weekend! Clarke Walters: Bronze All Around; GOLD Pommel, Silver Rings, Silver High Bar Level 5 Kodi Brooks did a fantastic job in the Level 5 Open division placing 14th in Queensland and an impressive 6th on Rings!
