  • We’ve Got the Spirit… How bout you?
January saw our annual Aspire Boot/Spirit Camp kick off the year for our Level 7-10 gymnasts from Delta Brisbane, Southport Gymnastics and Barron Valley Gymnastics; as 74 gymnasts, 27 Dads, 10 coaches & a whole lot of mud... came together for the 2018 Spirit Camp!   The week kicked off with a our three clubs training together at Boot Camp at Delta Kedron.  Gymnasts had a blast working with different coaches, getting to know their billets and building new friendships.  We even had Paul from Adrenalin Photographics pop in and get some great some great action shots of our gymnasts and teams all in the one gym!   The time then came to head off to Spirit Camp!  Armed with camping gear and ready for an adventure, the gymnasts headed off to Lake Cootharaba.   For the next two days gymnasts had fun working as a team, camping, toasting marshmallows, dancing (our Spirit Camp Dance Off is always a hit!), swimming, completing tough mudder courses, learning to change a tyre, learning self-defence strategies and a whole lot more!   What an inspirational way to kick off 2018!  We know our gymnasts had a ball and came home with lots of memories and ready to hit the gym to get this year underway!   Thank you to all of our wonderful Dads who came along to support their sons and daughter’s gymnastics, we loved having you there and appreciate all of your help!   A HUGE thank you to Mick Hensley and Brett Watkin for helping us pull the event together!  We are so grateful that you are always willing to go above and beyond to give our athletes these wonderful experiences!   Bring on 2018 Team Delta... let’s do this!
