  • A Note for our 2018 Gymnastics Retirees

As 2018 draws to a close, we’ve had a number of our Aspire Competitive gymnasts hang up their grips and retire from gymnastics.  Each of these girls have had an amazing and individual career and learnt so many skills – in both gymnastics and life – through the sport they love.  Some of them have been part of our program since toddlers, so it has been amazing to follow their journey.

Here’s a letter from Delta Director, Megan Mitchell to the girls as they get ready to embark on their next adventure.

A small note for our retirees…

To those girls who have had their last competition and are retiring from gymnastics, it has been an honour & a privilege to watch you grow up in the gym & commit yourselves to a sport as challenging as this one.

It takes courage, determination, heart & teamwork to get to this level in gymnastics. Congratulations to you all for your incredible achievements over the years!  Thank you for being great role models for the next generation of young gymnasts coming through. I hope you have enjoyed the ride!

We have certainly enjoyed watching you grow from cute little munchkins climbing the rope & cartwheeling all over the place, into the young ladies standing here today, the world at your feet.

I hope you will remember all the great times with fondness & that you have become stronger because of the challenges you have faced. Good  luck girls! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!

All the best,

Megan

Congratulations to this year’s retirees!

Jemma, Holly and Anna…

Brooke and Hebe…

Maddy, Isabel and Nic

Lizzie, Neilena and Isabelle…

We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this amazing group of young women.
