  • Delta Aspire Gymnasts Lead the Way for QLD

It's Nationals Time!

Last week, we were honoured to host the WAG State Team Training Camp at our new Delta Kedron Venue!  After a week of intense preparation, perfecting routines and team bonding, the gymnasts are ready to pull on their maroon leotards and take to the floor at the 2016 Australia Gymnastics Championships! 23 Delta Aspire gymnasts from Brisbane, Gold Coast & Barron Valley are representing Queensland and challenging the best of the best for the title of 2016 Australia Champion!   The Australia Gymnastics Championships is the highest National Levels competition of the year and our own "Olympic Journey" - with gymnasts from across the country travelling to the Melbourne Hisense Arena for two weeks of amazing gymnastics. We're proud to have two Delta Brisbane gymnasts selected to captain the 2016 WAG QLD State Team.  Level 10 gymnast Larissa Lum was selected as the Nationals Level Captain & Senior International gymnast Georgia Godwin will lead the International team.  What inspirational role models these young ladies are for Delta and Queensland! Georgia proudly carried the Queensland flag at the opening ceremony on Monday night, leading the way for the Queensland Team. 2016 QLD State Team Captains (From left to right: Abbey Scott, Georgia Godwin & Larissa Lum). Competition is in full swing and we wish all the Delta Aspire gymnasts & their QLD team mates every success as they leap, twist, tumble and vault their way to the top...GO QUEENSLAND!
