The Delta Aspire Program is home to some of the club’s most dedicated and accomplished athletes.
Competing across the ALP Level 7–10, Developing International and Senior International divisions, these gymnasts train with the goal of representing their club, state and country at the highest levels of the sport. Their success is built on years of commitment, resilience, teamwork and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
At Delta, we believe it is not only what we do, but the way we do it. Our Core Values guide everything we do and help shape not only successful athletes, but exceptional young people. We are incredibly proud of the leaders within our Aspire Performance Program who bring these values to life each and every day, both inside and outside the gym.
As many of these athletes prepare to represent Queensland at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships, we invite you to get to know them a little better.

Name: Hannah Mitchell
Age: 13
Level: 9
Years in Gymnastics: 12 (6th year competitive)
What are you most looking forward to at the Australian Championships?
I am super excited about wearing my individual leotard on Day 2.
Looking back, what are you most proud of in your gymnastics journey so far?
I am proud of the compliments I receive about my positive and encouraging energy and the way I support and cheer on others. I am also very proud of being crowned Vault Champion at States three years in a row.
What’s your go-to post-training snack?
For morning training: yoghurt, granola and strawberries.
For night training: dinner and then probably a Milo.
A goal you’re chasing right now?
To stand on the podium in the Level 9 All Around at Nationals.
What motivates you on the hard days?
Seeing my teammates. We always help each other through challenges, give advice and encourage one another no matter what.
What has gymnastics taught you outside of the gym?
That you can’t be perfect at something on the first try. You have to persist, keep applying corrections and continue working towards your goals — whether it’s a back salto on beam or a maths concept at school.
Something people might not know about you?
I love reading and I also participate in extra-curricular music.
What do you love most about Team Delta?
I love that everyone feels like family and we support and encourage each other no matter what.
What would your teammates say you’re famous for?
My energetic, loud personality and always being the loudest cheerleader.
Who has had the biggest impact on your gymnastics journey and why?
Many people have had a huge impact on my journey, but my coaches have probably had the biggest influence. They help me through challenges, teach me how to become a better gymnast and somehow manage to put up with all my chatting and questions.
One message for your fellow Delta teammates heading to Nationals?
Believe in yourself and remember that the hard work has already been done. Trust your training, trust yourself, enjoy every second and have the time of your life!
