  • Delta Gymnastics Athlete Profile – Livia Cooke

The Delta Aspire Program is home to some of the club’s most dedicated and accomplished athletes.

Competing across the ALP Level 7–10, Developing International and Senior International divisions, these gymnasts train with the goal of representing their club, state and country at the highest levels of the sport. Their success is built on years of commitment, resilience, teamwork and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

At Delta, we believe it is not only what we do, but the way we do it. Our Core Values guide everything we do and help shape not only successful athletes, but exceptional young people. We are incredibly proud of the leaders within our Aspire Performance Program who bring these values to life each and every day, both inside and outside the gym.

As many of these athletes prepare to represent Queensland at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships, we invite you to get to know them a little better.

Name: Livia Cooke
Age: 13
Level: 9
Years in Gymnastics: 7

What are you most looking forward to at Australian Championships?
Having the opportunity to compete alongside my friends and meet new people on the Queensland team.

Looking back, what are you most proud of in your gymnastics journey so far?
How far I’ve come in my gymnastics and earning my place on the Queensland State Team.

What’s your go-to post-training snack?
Nachos!

A goal you’re chasing right now?
To win a medal at Nationals.

What motivates you on the hard days?
I think back to when I was little and desperately wanted to get my kip on bars. I tried every single day and never gave up, so whenever training gets tough, I remind myself of that younger version of me who kept believing and kept trying.

What has gymnastics taught you outside of the gym?
Resilience, determination and to never give up when things get tough.

Something people might not know about you?
My Poppy was in a serious car accident while Mum was pregnant with me and was very lucky to survive. I was born four months later while he was still in hospital, and Mum and Dad gave me the middle name Poppy because “Poppy lived.”

What do you love most about Team Delta?
My coaches and teammates are always cheering me on and supporting me throughout my gymnastics journey.

What would your teammates say you’re famous for?
My gingerbread-smelling hair!

Who has had the biggest impact on your gymnastics journey and why?
My parents. They’ve always been there for me through the tough days, supporting me through every challenge I’ve faced. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done to help me on this journey.

One message for your fellow Delta teammates heading to Nationals?
Trust your training, go out there and show everyone what you’re capable of—and most importantly, have fun!
