This week, four of Delta's leaders headed to Melbourne for the
National Gymnastics Leading Clubs Conference. This annual event, brings together members from Australia's largest gymnastics clubs to share global thinking and share knowledge on our incredible industry.
This year, both Delta Brisbane and Barron Valley Gymnastics Club were invited to attend, alongside 65 of Australia's largest Gymnastics Clubs. Topics discussed throughout the conference included Emerging Technologies, Strategic Change, Workforce Growth, Club Culture, National Child Safety Standards, Digital Marketing and Event Hosting.
Alongside an exceptional line up of speakers (two from the USA), our very own John Mitchell & Joe Winston were asked to be part of the presenting team. Great job John and Joe! John was also part of a fun great debate, where two teams discussed the pros and cons of specialising in certain areas within Gymnastics.
During the conference, attendees were also invited to sit in on the Global Keynote session of the
National Sports Convention, where a panel of experts discussed encouraging behavioural change to increase participation in Community Sport and Active recreation. It is fantastic to see across the sporting industries, the push to get kids active, involved and moving!
Overall this year's Leading Clubs Conference was a fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the best in Australia and the US. Honoured to attend, our Leaders will pass on their learnings to our amazing teams of coaches and support crew, as we all continue to learn and develop! Looks like it is not just our gymnasts, who learn through gymnastics!
