  • Kim’s Corner – September Edition
It's time for our September news and Kim's Corner!  What's been happening around the Southport gym this month? Our Aspire gymnasts and coaches have, as always been working super hard.  The year really is flying by and September is going to be a busy month for our competitive gymnasts! Over the last month, our Southport Level 3 to 6 girls have been preparing for Junior Regionals and Junior State Championships.  With the junior competitive season wrapping up soon, we are so proud of how the girls have been working, polishing their skills and routines and having fun on the competition floor.  Congratulations on a super Regionals result girls - we have a record 7 gymnasts selected on the Gold Coast Regional Team and three amazing Regional Champions!  What an amazing team of gymnasts we have! Junior States is the biggest competition of the season for these Aspire Performance girls.  Gymnasts have had to level test and also qualify for this event.  Just a reminder it is really important the girls are consistently attending training in the lead up to Junior States.  We want them to feel confident on the floor and ensure they are safe on the apparatus.  We wish the girls all the best for Junior States and hope to see our army of supporters cheering on from the crowd! Click here for the Competition schedule. For some of our seniors it has been a while since they last competed.  But with the Delta Challenge and the National Clubs Carnival just around the corner, they are really enjoying getting back into routines, complete with some exciting new skills!  Keep working hard girls you are looking great! This year the National Clubs Carnival is being held on the Gold Coast!  Being in our home town we can't wait to have lots of homegrown support in the crowd.  The first draft of the NCC schedule has been released, so check it out!
