  • Southport Hit at Super 7’s
On the weekend our Team Awesome seniors from Southport headed to Gold Coast Gymnastics Club for the Super 7's Invitational competition. Huge congratulations to all our Level 7-9 athletes who competed at the weekend's meet, the first for 2019.  All of our Southport girls passed their levels test and have started the season off in style! Big shout out to Issy who had the most stuck landings throughout the competition and to Jorja, who  competed two “D” skills for first time! (In gymnastics, skills are rated by their difficulty with A being the easiest and E the most difficult. Two D skills means an additional 0.8 to Jorja's difficulty score and is an incredible effort!) Three of our amazing gymnasts were also awarded special Super 7's Awards.  Congratulations to:
Kate who received two “nailed it” awards for stuck dismounts.
Isabella  who was also awarded a “nailed it” award, as well as the “strong and steady” beam award
Kaia who received the “personality plus” award for her floor routine

Well done girls!

"Do your work with your whole heart and you will succeed - there’s so little competition" What a great first hit out for our girls who are now looking forward to showcasing their new skills, connections and routines at Southport's My Routine Rules on Saturday 23rd March.
