A group of our Delta Brisbane Level 4-7 gymnasts had lots of fun on the weekend at Gymnastics Queensland’s Team Future Clinic!
Team Future is part of the Qld State Squad program which plays a developmental role in the advancement of gymnastics throughout Queensland.
State Squad provides gymnasts the opportunity to participate in training clinics throughout the year, designed to optimise the performance of the Queensland State Team at National Championships, as well as extend the girls high performance potential and identify those gymnasts likely to represent their state at a high level.
Each year, a number of Delta gymnasts are recognised and invited to be part of the State Squad program and on the weekend, 11 of our girls participated in their first Team Future Clinic.
The girls had a great time learning new skills, working on technique and making new friends from clubs around Queensland. Team Future gymnasts were lucky enough to work with High Performance coaches Misha Barabach, Xiaomin Tao and Delta’s own Josh Parker-Sloan; and also learnt some great tips from physio, Michelle Sinclair from Clem Jones Physiotherapy.
Special congrats to Madison Jones who received an award for exceptional sportsmanship. Well done Mads, you should be so proud!
Thank you to the wonderful coaches and teachers who shared their knowledge and expertise with us over the two day Team Future Clinic. We had a blast!
Thanks also to GMD for our awesome new Team Future shirts!
