  • The Road to Rio – Georgia Godwin Makes Delta Home!
Georgia Godwin is Australian gymnastics royalty, holding the Australian Senior Elite National Champion title for the past two years. We are excited to announce Georgia will be joining the Delta team, to be trained by her long time coaches, Sasha and Olga Belooussov at Delta Brisbane's new state of the art training venue in Kedron. Following her recent 49th overall place at the Glasgow World Championships, Georgia’s sights are now set on helping Australia qualify a team to the Rio Olympic Games! The road to Rio will be a busy one and a challenge Georgia is excited to take on!  She will attend National Team training camp for 10 days each month, in the build up to the Olympic Games along with her regular training at Delta.  National Coach Peggy Liddick recently stated, “I have full confidence in this group of athletes and coaches, and am certain that working together in such a cohesive and supportive environment will enable the team to produce and optimum performance in Rio in Both April and August next year.” Georgia is already feeling at home at Delta, attending the Delta Brisbane Annual Celebration in December and inspiring the next generation of Delta gymnasts.  She is excited to get in the gym in January and we are thrilled to welcome Georgia to the Delta family!
