The WOW WALL has been a huge success for our Aspire gymnasts on the Gold Coast!  Gymnasts are awarded a STAR to add to the Wow Wall whenever they perform a new skill. Our Southport & St Hilda’s walls are both  filling very quickly... with so many skills being accomplished! It is very exciting to see how many new skills our gymnasts are learning for next year and beyond! We have also been spending some time to sit down as a group and look at what skills gymnasts will need to achieve to compete successfully at their 2018 level.  This way the girls are able to see what they really need to focus on in the gym and what they  may really need to work hard on! We have also been talking about making sure gymnasts are not avoiding certain skills.  We sometimes see this when gymnasts are struggling with a skill or a little scared of a new skill.  We want every gymnast to feel comfortable to let us know if they are having a problem with a skill, are frustrated or are not sure how to fix something.  That way we can work through it together and have talked about taking it back a step or 2, to work on some drills to overcome these feelings and ensure the best outcome for the kids!  This has been a really positive step in the gym! We are so proud of our gymnasts and all they have achieved!
