As many of you know, there have been some changes over at our Southport venue over the last couple of weeks for our Delta Aspire gymnasts, with the girls now officially competing as Southport Gymnastics Club.
We recently advised that the new
was in place on the Gold Coast. Following recent meetings between the Committee and the Gold Coast City Council, we have made some changes to the Club's structure, enabling our Aspire gymnasts to represent
– providing and managing coaching, curriculum and program delivery (on a fee basis from the Southport Gymnastics Club). This is similar to the current Delta–Barron Valley Gymnastics model in Cairns, which has seen our Cairns club receive wonderful support and government grants over the past 3 years!
We want to provide the best for our gymnasts and it seems this is the best way forward for our kids!
We do however foresee a greater involvement from the Committee and increased access to Government grants and support for the girls!
