  • Core Values Stories: Do What’s Best to Be Our Best!
It's so great to be able to share stories of our gymnasts, Delta families, coaches and staff who embody our Delta Core Values.  We do what it takes, we know the steps. We work hard and we stick the landing... all with a dash of sass!  We do what's best to be our best!   Level 9 Gymnast Natasha Ho Natasha Ho is one of our amazing level 9 gymnasts at Delta.  Tash's family are based in Darwin and she spends school terms as a boarder at a school in Brisbane.  Tash trains 20 hours a week in our Aspire Competitive Program at Delta Kedron and in 2018 Tash picked up the BRONZE medal in Level 9 at the Australian Gymnastics Championships! Tash goes home to see her family throughout the year and always ensures she finds a way to keep fit and prepared for gymnastics! Tash works hard on her strength and conditioning when she is away and has even come back to Brisbane to represent Delta at State Clubs mid-holiday, before returning to her family in Darwin! We are so impressed with the dedication Tash puts in to the sport she loves. Thanks Tash, for always working hard to be the best you can be!   Josh Parker-Sloan Josh is one of our most senior coaches here at Delta, working with our Aspire Competitive Program in Brisbane.  Not only has Josh been doing a great job in the gym coaching and preparing his level 8-10 gymnasts (Josh was recently named Australian Level 10 Team Coach!) but in looking after our facilities and equipment! You may have noticed the big storage container which used to reside at the front of the gym has been moved, allowing better access for our gymnasts and their families.  Our Aspire gymnasts have been provided with bag racks at the far end of the gym (while our Gym Kids and Aspire Foundations gymnasts have access to the coloured boxes in the gym's entrance).  The bathrooms now have hand dryers and we have our new Kedron gated entry - improving safety and access for members.  Recently, Josh organised the tumble track to be replaced and he and Coach Jordan are constantly working together to get facility jobs complete, ensuring we have a safe and user friendly environment in the gym!  Thanks Josh for helping us be our best!   Barron Valley Coaches Aiming High! Our Barron Valley Team Leader Bede Campbell has been excited at how high the Barron Valley Coaches are aiming in the gym!  This awesome group of coaches have high standards and expectations on themselves.  They know how they would like their classes to run and are working hard to make sure they are providing great classes for their kids!   Delta Hall of Fame Gymnast and Aspire Coach, Taylor Ryan Taylor Ryan was one of our most recognised Delta gymnasts and is one of the most successful gymnasts in Queensland in the past twenty years. She has the enviable record of winning every State Championship Title from level 6 to 10, representing QLD at every level (captaining the team on three occasions) and representing Australia on two occasions.  Taylor is the quiet achiever who made it happen, always doing her best and always giving her best.  Taylor now shares this experience and knowledge with our current Delta gymnasts as one of our awesome Aspire coaches!
