  • Delta Gymnastics Athlete Profile – Faith Rose

The Delta Aspire Program is home to some of the club’s most dedicated and accomplished athletes.

Competing across the ALP Level 7–10, Developing International and Senior International divisions, these gymnasts train with the goal of representing their club, state and country at the highest levels of the sport. Their success is built on years of commitment, resilience, teamwork and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

At Delta, we believe it is not only what we do, but the way we do it. Our Core Values guide everything we do and help shape not only successful athletes, but exceptional young people. We are incredibly proud of the leaders within our Aspire Performance Program who bring these values to life each and every day, both inside and outside the gym.

As many of these athletes prepare to represent Queensland at the 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships, we invite you to get to know them a little better.

Name: Faith Rose
Age: 13
Level: 8
Years in Gymnastics: 4.5

What are you most looking forward to at Australian Championships?
Competing in my own Queensland leotard and having fun with my friends.

Looking back, what are you most proud of in your gymnastics journey so far?
Receiving Junior Gymnast of the Year because it recognises not only your gymnastics, but also being kind to everyone.

What’s your go-to post-training snack?
Fruit salad and a ham and cheese pocket.

A goal you’re chasing right now?
To become more confident when I compete and not let my fear control me.

What motivates you on the hard days?
Reminding myself that everyone has hard days and not being too hard on myself. My friends and coaches also help me by reminding me it’s okay and that I’ve got this.

What has gymnastics taught you outside of the gym?
That when things don’t go to plan or you fall, it’s important to get back up and keep going because it’s what you do next that counts.

Something people might not know about you?
Sometimes I try to do gymnastics in my sleep and accidentally whack myself in the face.

What do you love most about Team Delta?
Everyone makes me feel like family. Every group cheers each other on and supports one another.

What would your teammates say you’re famous for?
Dramatically running into walls… or taking spectacular stacks.

Who has had the biggest impact on your gymnastics journey and why?
My mum. She’s always been there for me through the hard times, encouraging me every step of the way. She drives me to early morning training, picks me up late, comes to every competition and cheers louder than anyone.

One message for your fellow Delta teammates heading to Nationals?
Have fun! It’s not every day you get the opportunity to compete at Nationals in Sydney. Give it your all so you have no regrets, and if things don’t go to plan, remember that it’s okay to fail. Failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s part of it.
