We have blasted to the moon and back and now our under 5’s are ready to become little stars in our next fun in Jnr GymKids theme! Welcome to our Stars theme! Twinkle, twinkle little star… Stars is about being wide - taking up lots of space with our bodies and squeezing tight!  In this theme our little gymnasts will explore a wide variety of movement, focussing all the while on the star shape. The star shape gives children a wide, stable base for balancing and is also the shape they will use in their cartwheels! Star shapes also help further explore spatial awareness as children reach out with and see how much space their bodies can fill! We can be a star everywhere in gymnastics – standing, lying down, hanging (would you like to swing on a star?!), upside down and in locomotion!  Our children’s brains are still wiring up, so the more creative and interesting ways we can try our star shape at gymnastics, the better it will plug into their bodies! We hope you’ll enjoy singing along, stretching wide, star jumping, swinging and rocking with your little one during our fun Stars Program! Thanks for moving with us at Jnr GymKids!
